it had been a couple of months now, and leslie was starting to show. for those reading and didn't know, leslie's pregnant. with a little baby girl, but leslie doesn't know that. kate xira malfoy, would be her name, in time. if today's unfortunate series of events would not happen. but alas, dear people, they are...
leslie was walking up the stairs to her common room, it was after classes, she was tired. and in some dire need of sleep. miserable. truly miserable. that was what leslie was these days. people had been avoiding her left and right, no one wanted to talk to her because leslie was pregnant. she was at least 3 months in now, and it had driven all her followers into pure fury. and they expressed it daily.
leslie was seriously considering just getting rid of the child. there was a 75% chance, not in her favour, about having the kid. most likely. leslie was going to die. like her mother, and her grandmother, and her great grandmother. continuing the sad tradition.
she had finally gotten to the top of the stairs, only to get intercepted by one of the more, bulky followers. he was talking about how she could do that to all her followers, which in her moody state, only caused anger and sadness to form. she tried to side step away from him... but he grabbed her shoulders and repositioned her in front of him again. leslie felt fear at that moment, staring up at the burly slytherin. she felt pure fear. she opened her mouth, but no words could come out, and thus the boy decided to give up. he let go of leslie, partially pushing her away. her foot shot out backwards, to catch her body, but there was nothing there... and as her body tilted backwards, she started to fall down the flight of stairs. her books lay on the first few, some tumbling down after her. her arms hurriedly reached and wrapped themselves around her stomach, as a high pitched scream ran through the halls, echoing across the vacant areas. her voice bouncing like her body against the steps...
until finally, she came to a stop... at the bottom of the cobblestone steps. the pain was unbearable, but what was worse, was that she was pretty sure she lost the baby.

Glancing at the fireplace in front of him Knox felt a tired sigh escape his lips. He had just gotten back from class and was waiting for Leslie to arrive. He felt on edge, but then again who wouldn’t be. Just yesterday she had told him that some people had threatened to hurt her and their unborn child. He felt sick by the thought that anyone could hit a woman, or an innocent child. Trying to distract himself he got up from the couch and started pacing. She should have been here about ten minutes ago. He knew that he was probably being a bit overprotective but the thought of anything happening to her alone had him going crazy. She really had turned his world upside down.
Walking out of the common room after five more minutes he followed the route she usually took to class. He kept telling himself that everything was going to be okay and that she had just run into a friend and started talking, that he was just being paranoid. He completely froze into place though as he rounded a corner and saw a guy push Leslie of the stairs, a scream escaping her lips. “Noo!!” He screamed trying to run forward. He was too late though and had to watch powerless as his girlfriend tumbled down the marble stairs. Everything seemed to go in slow motion from then on. Knox grabbed the shocked guy by the collar and raised him up from the ground. He was completely beyond reasoning now anger burning in his eyes. There were only 3 people that could possibly stop him now, and two of them were walking around the castle somewhere, the other lying at the foot of the stairs limply. He threw the guy down the stairs not caring one bit about his pleading. He should have thought about that before attacking his girl.
Running down the stairs as fast as he could he stopped next to Leslie, kneeling down beside her. “I’m so sorry.” He whispered, all the anger on his face replaced by pain. He carefully moved a hand through her hair before getting up. “Get the nurse!” He screamed at some first years, who immediately ran off. He turned to the guy who had caused all of this. It was pretty clear he had hurt himself while falling of the stone steps. The pleading began again as Knox started to approach him, but it seemed the more words left the blonde’s mouth the more furious Knox was becoming. He took his wand out of his robes and pointed it at the guy without the slightest hesitation. “When I’m done with you you’ll be wishing you never laid eyes on this girl.” He said his voice deadly calm, which only seemed to make his appear even more dangerous. He pretty much knew that there was no chance the baby could have survived this, he had killed their baby. “Volarte Ascendele” He called causing the guy to fly high into the air. He flickered his wand and caused him to fly against the wall hard. Knox walked over to him again, spells weren’t going to help him any, he needed to get rid of his anger another way. He balled his hands into fists and hit his face hard, breaking his nose. Blood started pouring out but he couldn’t care less. He pulled the blonde to him and kneed him in the crotch as hard as he could. He certainly wouldn’t have to expect to get any children in the future.

Leslie had hit her head, causing the slightest bit of blood to escape. But she had closed her eyes and drifted off for the slightest second. And that's when the horrible thing happened.
She looked down, a little blond girl was looking up at her. It looked so much like herself, but it had Knox's beautiful eyes and smile. This thing was grinning up at her, when Leslie realized. This was the baby, the baby she had just lost. She felt arms wrap around her. She looked up. It was Knox, smiling and kissing her neck. It was perfect. They were a happy family. Then why dear god was this happening!
As her dream world started to fade, Leslie started to cry. Her eyes opened and she tried to look around, but she couldn't. She heard the first sound of impact. "Knox!" She called quietly, but apparently that was not enough to hear her. She didn't like being ignored. She frowned even more when she heard the second point of impact. "Knox!" She called louder. She didn't appreciate that he was ignoring her, when now she could be heard. She heard the third blow. "Knox!" She snapped. She had enough of this. It was her fault that she lost the baby. Not the kid who wasn't going to have kids.
