Watching as the trees swayed from the left to the right Alex smiled as she had an argument with herself whether to go in there or not. It wasn’t for nothing they called it the forbidden forest, still it wasn’t the name that was really stopping her. The sun was low in the sky, meaning that probably within the next hour or so everything would be completely dark. The young girl wasn’t all too sure she wanted to be wandering around in there, she didn’t want to get lost, and using lumos didn’t exactly seem like the best idea since she didn’t really wanted to attract attention to herself. Finally making up her mind the less rational side of her won and she stepped forward. It wasn’t that she hadn’t been in her before, just never this close to the evening.
She’d walked a few minutes when she suddenly heard the clapping of wings somewhere in the distance. Pausing for a second she waited and listened to see where exactly it was coming from. The longer she waited though the closer it seemed to be. She started feeling a bit unsure, looking around to see what was the source of the noise, she didn’t find anything though. She was just about to turn back when a shape suddenly landed right in front of her. She let out a scream and fall back on the hard forest ground. A bit shocked she watched the strange creature in front of her. It looked like a horse, but still some things about it were different. It had long bat like wings and you could clearly see it’s skeleton through the skin. She stayed completely still as it walked closer to her until it’s head was just inches from hers. Alex fought every fibber in her body, staying completely still as the being sniffed a few times before throwing it’s head back and jumped in his back legs. Letting out a yelp Alex brought her arms up to cover her face, but nothing seemed to happen. Lowering her arms slowly she saw the creature had stepped back again and was watching her curiously.

Recently the youngest member of the potter family loved the outdoors, the escape and the cold breeze it brought at this time of year. Most hated it and preferred to stay with in the castle walls, warm and secure. But too Lily it was like an old friend that greeted her with a much needed hug. She tended to come out here a lot as of recently, it meant not having to see the few remaining students that lounged about the school. It meant she could escape even if only for a couple of hours at a time. Despite it being dark Lily did not care, she had remembered her inhaler for her asthma and her wand was tucked into her Jean pocket just in case. She wrapped her arms tentatively around her torso. It was at times like this where lily was at her calmest, she had no cares and no one to boss her about so she could be herself. James wasn't there constantly watching her back and supposedly 'looking' after her. She just wanted to be her own person with no strings attached...
lily hadn't really been watching where she had been walking but she seemed to have ended up at the entrance to the forbidden forest, a place she had been many times just never alone. The Forbidden Forest was a large, dark forest in the boundaries of the school grounds, strictly forbidden to all students, except during Care of Magical Creatures lessons and, on rare occasions, detentions. It was like your normal forest, it contained trees such as beech, oak, pine, sycamore, and yew, as well as undergrowth including knot grass and thorns. She knew that Hagrid, who made the trails other wises there would be very little paths there. The Forest was also home to an assortment of creatures. She had met an odd centaur or two in her time of being down at the school but that was it. Lily was about to turn around when she heard a girls scream that came from dee within the forest. Lily drew her wand and moved cautisoly into the forest. ''Lumous maximus
As she said this a large ball of light flung into the air enabling her to see clearly. Lily continued down the path, she wondered who else was in the forest with her. Lily heard rustlings in front of her, she quickened her pace in to a run and stopped abruptly behind Alex. It was her niece, lying on the floor looking curiously confused, Lily followed her gaze up. She narrowed her eyes and saw the black skelton horse thing in front of her. Lily had never seen anything like that before in her life. IT looked menacing yet kind at the same time. Lily kept her wand pointed at the thing just encase it tried to attack her or Alex. ''Are you alright? Lily asked in an almost whisper and put out her hand to help Alex up. She tried to rack her brains as to what this creature was, lily always paid attention in class she just couldn't draw on what exactly the creature was. • word count; six hundred and thirty three. • tags; alexandra yuki weasley • muse; lily allen • notes; sorry for the crappy start. • status; complete! Just when the sixteen-year-old had convinced herself things might not be as bad as she had thought after all she heard something else approach her quickly from behind. She frowned as she tried to keep an eye on the horse while in the meanwhile searching the space behind her for what was causing the stirring in the leaves. Maybe it was another one of these bat like horses, although, the longer she spend near it, the more she thought it didn’t mean any harm to her. It hadn’t made any moves towards her that would suggest it wanted to hurt her. She sighed relieved when she saw her aunt Lily run into view. So she wasn’t the only who liked to wander around the ground. Well it was good to know she didn’t have it from any strangers. She took the outstretched hand and stood up nodding a bit at the question. “I’m fine aunt lils, thank you.” She held her head to the side a bit glancing at the thing still standing at the other side of the meadow. It was still standing still, looking at the both of them curiously.
Turning her attention to her aunt she smiled. “I guess I was taken of guard a bit.” She admitted. “hhmm.. I could swear I read about these somewhere.” She bit her lip as she searched her mind for possibilities, she didn’t seem to immediately come up with any though. “Nice to know I’m not the only one roaming the grounds at this hour.” She said smiling. “Oh!” She spun towards the horse again. “I know what it is.” She froze turning towards Lily. “Although that would mean..” She frowned moving a hand through her hair. “You saw someone die.”
The girl held her head to the side as she tried to remember ever hearing her aunt talk about loosing someone. She couldn’t think of one time though. Then again maybe she didn’t want to talk about it. Alex grimaced as she thought of the reason she herself could see them and decided to just let the subject drop. “Shall we get out of here ?” She asked, glancing around quickly. Twilight had already hit and she was pretty sure within the next hour everything would be completely dark.

The red haired female felt releived to know her niece was fine, she smiled and shook her head to say thatitwas nothing. After all Alexa was family and family meant the world to lily, she would do anything to help them when they needed her. “I’m fine aunt lils, thank you.” lily continued to stare at the creation that was a few metres away from the females, she racked her brain and tried to recall what it was.“I guess I was taken of guard a bit.” lily nodded, she wondered why alex was out here at this time, normally you didn't find many out here and least of all in the forbidden forest. If the two were found in here they would most certainly be punished and lily couldn't deal with detention. ''why are you out here?'' lily asked in a curious tone and looked at the brunette. It was times like these when lily wished she had listened in care of magical creatures, rather than her mucking about or skipping the class altogether. lily smirked and was about to reply when alex finally worked out what it was.
“Although that would mean..” “You saw someone die.” lily held her breath for a moment, her mind suddenly took her back to that very moment in which she had seen a twenty year old male get hit by a car. She had tried so hard to block the memory out of her head. Lily luna potter had been just eight years old at the time and was out at the park with her brothers. They had run off ahead to get sweets from the shops on the way home, lily being lily dawdled and preferred to take her time. As she was crossing the road she was suddenly pushed out of the way, she heard a squeak of breaks and a large thump as a body hit the windscreen of a red skoda. The muggle man had saved her life and sacrificed his own, of course it wasn't her fault, she had looked both ways before crossing but the person in the car had been drink driving. It was enough to make her hate muggles for a while, but soon enough she got over them. Lily never talked about it, it still made cry to this day. She always had that pang of guilt for the boy who had saved her, sometimes she though she should have died instead of him. But destiny obviously ad different plans.
“Shall we get out of here ?” lily was glad of alex's suggestion and nodded, quickly wanting to rid her mind of the painful memory she tried so heard to forget.

Regret washed through the older girl as she saw the expression on her aunts face change. It was clear that she was reliving a painful memory. She was probably reliving the experience again just like Alex had just moments ago. She shuddered slightly and bit her lip feeling guilty. “I’m sorry I didn’t mean to..” Letting the sentence die out towards the end. She knew what it was like to loose someone, or see something like that. She had witnessed it herself just a year and a half ago after all. She didn’t remember much of the actual event though. She had been on the bus with a good friend of her, travelling to the city to do some shopping. It had been snowing though and the roads were horrible. Her mom had warned her not to go, that she had to stay at home. Alex being the her stubborn self though had snuck out when her mom wasn’t looking. She regretted it so much after the incident though. The bus driver had lost control over the bus and they had started slipping. The bus had flipped once before coming to a stop on it’s side. Surprisingly Alex had managed to stay awake through the entire thing and it seemed like the memories were burned in her mind. People screaming, glass and blood everywhere. Her mom had apparated next to her just minutes after. Estelle had told her later that she had a vision and simply dropped everything and apparated out. Her friend had passed away by then though, right in front of the 14 year old. The last thing she remembers about that place was seeing her mom, then everything just turned black again, until she woke up in the hospital 2 days later. She hadn’t talked with anyone about it since then, she didn’t think she could, the thought of what had happened that day alone had her heart breaking.
Alex was glad to see Lily agreed with her and started walking towards the castle again, staying close to her aunt. She was glad the young girl had showed up, it helped her to keep her act up just a little bit. She didn’t want to cry or anything in front of her. She cleared her throat before speaking up again. “Decided to take a walk too ?” She said trying to distract herself from the images still flashing in front of her eyes every few seconds. “I’m glad I’m not here alone.” She admitted, “I probably shouldn’t have come in here in the first place.”
